End cover of electric meter is shown in Figure 1. It has a thin-walled structure as a whole, with dense pores on one side to facilitate heat dissipation of device below and serve as a decoration. Appearance size of plastic part is 110 mm * 115 mm * 55 mm, average wall thickness is 2.2 mm, and wall thickness at pores is 3.2 mm. End cap material is PC + 10% glass fiber, with a density of about 1.19 g/cm3 and a shrinkage rate of 0.376%. Material processing parameters are shown in Table 1. This material is a reinforced plastic with a heat deformation temperature of over 120℃. It has high mechanical properties and excellent UV resistance, and is suitable for outer surface of outdoor devices. According to three-dimensional model, volume of plastic part was measured to be approximately 43.4 cm3, and weight was approximately 51.7 g.

Research on solutions to appearance color difference problem of Chang’an Automobile interior plastic parts

Figure 1 shows structure of instrument cluster cover. It is an elliptical cylinder as a whole, with uneven flanges on outside. The overall dimensions are 370 mm * 170 mm * 130 mm, basic wall thickness is 2.5 mm, and surface treatment is fine leather texture. Inside of plastic part is a high-visibility area, back has features such as buckles and reinforcing ribs. Material is PC+ABS with a shrinkage rate of 0.5%. Recommended processing parameters are shown in Table 1.

One-piece base combination and separate injection mold design

Weight of conjoined base is 1.6 kg, and the overall dimensions are approximately 818 mm * 265 mm * 256 mm. Plastic parts must have good strength and rigidity, and materials are PS or ABS plastic. Plastic part consists of an air duct, an air outlet, a drainage channel, a drainage outlet, an electric control box, an air deflector bracket, a wall-mounted buckle, etc. Structure is complex, as shown in Figure 1.

Structure of cap of a drinking bottle for infants is shown in Figure 1. Height is about 75 mm. There are 2 handles on outer surface. Maximum distance between 2 handles is 127 mm. Main part of bottle cap is a circular structure with an outer diameter of φ66 mm. Inner surface has 2 turns of internal threads. Internal thread specification is M58 mm. Length of inner cylindrical surface of bottle cap is 14 mm. Length of internal thread is 6 mm. Material of plastic part is ABS. Since ABS material is relatively hard, internal thread of bottle cap must be demoulded in a rotating manner and cannot be forced to be demoulded.

Technical requirements for plastic parts are that there shall be no defects such as peaks, underfilling, flow lines, pores, warpage deformation, silver lines, cold materials, and spray lines.

Design of Demoulding Structure for Combination of Lifter and Push Block

【Abstract】There are many buckles or cylinder posts in automobile plastic parts. Such plastic parts generally have small space. During demoulding process after injection molding, lifter will interfere with other buckle or bone positions of plastic part. Demolding structure combined with lifter and push block can solve such problems.

Numerical control programming based on UG heater shell core

【Abstract】Before CNC programming, plastic part structure and mold structure should be analyzed first, then entity of heater movable model core should be analyzed to distinguish clearly parting surface, glue plane, ejector hole, inclined top hole, insert, etc. on entity. Block or delete features such as thimble holes, inclined top holes, and stud inserts on core of movable model that do not require CNC machining. Then program surfaces with different functions on moving model core separately, leave a proper margin for collision surface, process glue surface in place, and overcut avoiding surface properly, using tool path milling flow of shape milling road. In order to reflect streamlined structure of curved surface on plastic part, curved surfaces of different structures are programmed separately. Using UG software as a programming tool, CNC milling programming is performed on heater movable model core, programming tool path is simulated.

Maximum external dimension of product is 70.78 mm * 37.4 ± 0.25 mm * 47.13 mm, average thickness of plastic part is 2.00 mm, material of plastic part is PC, shrinkage rate is 1.006, and weight of plastic part is 15.86 grams.
